(English version below)

Regional essen. Wirtschaft stärken. Kulinarischen Genuss erleben!

Eat regional. Strengthen the economy. Experience culinary delight!
That was the theme of the Trade Fair for Regional and Culinary Connections on April 14, 2026.

From 1pm to 5pm the Römerhallen, located centrally in Frankfurt am Main, focused entirely on regional quality and culinary diversity. For the third time the Trade Fair for Regional and Culinary Connections was presented by House of Food Frankfurt, organized in cooperation with the Initiative Gastronomie Frankfurt e.V. and supported by the Interreg NWE project SIMONE.

Network, Taste, Collaborate
From regional chickpeas and quinoa to innovative concepts like sauces, creams, and chunks made from German soybeans, as well as new spritz drinks – the visitors experienced enjoyment, inspiration, and networking on a level that truly pays off. 30 regional producers, processing businesses, wholesalers, innovative start-ups, and restaurateurs presented their products to a professional audience of over 200 visitors and invited them to enjoy, get inspired, and engage in creative exchange.

The goal: Building long-term, trusting business relationships to create offerings that are emotional, authentic, and identity-building. Giving the visitors and the exhibitors the chance to set themselves, their team, and their business up for the future.

The Background:

For the first time this year in addition to House of Food Frankfurt and Initiative Gastronomie Frankfurt e.V. the event was supported by SIMONE – an Interreg NWE project co-funded by the European Union. The project explores innovative farming methods through on-farm testing, aiming to improve the sustainability and performance of farms. BIONALES as the governing association of House of Food Frankfurt is a partner in this project and responsible for strengthening the economic potential of the farms.

BIONALES – Bürger für regionale Landwirtschaft und Ernährung e.V. aims for sustainable food resilience by supporting the local network across the agroecological sector to strengthen the regional identity and enable regional cooperations. The trade fair provided the floor for various stakeholders of the value chain to connect and break new ground for collaboration. Thanks to the involvement of SIMONE the exhibitors and visitors could be doubled in relation to the last year.

The motto: Let’s connect, taste & shape the future of Frankfurt Rhein-Main together.
